Abigail (Abby) Stewart graduated in 2023 with a BA in Kinesiology from Brock University, aspiring to build a career in physiotherapy or athletic therapy. With 16 years of experience playing high-level rep hockey, Abby continues to hit the ice with a team from Ancaster. Outside the clinic, she shares her love for the sport by coaching a U11A girls rep hockey team in Fergus, Ontario.
Abby’s hobbies reflect her dynamic and active lifestyle, including golf, hiking, and hockey, along with enjoying country music, traveling, and reading books. Her passion for sports and wellness is central to her personal and professional life.
Abby’s interest in physical wellness began in grade 10 after suffering a back injury that kept her off the ice for nearly two months. Physiotherapy was instrumental in her recovery, enabling her return to hockey while also addressing the mental health challenges she faced during her time away from the sport. Inspired by the care and support she received, Abby is committed to helping others overcome their own physical and mental health challenges through physiotherapy.
